Felt a bit tacky inside with the props and projectors they have placed around for the current event, and most areas of the house that anyone would find interesting are sadly blocked off with plywood or mirrors for "staff use only"... a sneaky peek usually discovered a disused room used as storage. Bedrooms are boring, and everything else is blocked. No signage to describe what each room was, or when it was renovated onto - though if you have an appreciation for these properties you'll be able to piece together inferred bits of information.
The real amazement begins once you exit the house and explore the gardens. Though you do need an imagination - there is nothing around the estate to describe the what, how, when, or why of ANYTHING on the property. There is so much beauty in the design of the property.
Make sure you bring your phone - Wikipedia will offer far more fascinating information to you than any staff or signage.
